We ask that you provide us with an essay of no more than 1000 words of your choosing.

• References should be included (if any), but will not contribute to the word count. Neither will footnotes, nor the title of your essay. However, please do try to fit your essay into 2 pages maximum.
• The essay should have attained at least a A- grade or higher.
• Note that your submission will be the final draft, and that there will be no feedback or rounds of revision granted.
• You are free to submit multiple essays, and can submit a revised version of something you have already submitted prior. Do submit early to give us ample time to review your essay and print them. We cannot guarantee that late submissions will be given proper reviews.

We also ask that you attach:

• a small photo of yourself at the top left of the document, preferably one that shows your face clearly. If you are uncomfortable with doing so, you may choose not to include a photo.
  • You may also attach your chosen photo as another file within the Google Form.
• Also include your name, year of study, major, and institution within the document.

We are looking for essays that are interesting and captivating.

• Perhaps it is a difficult question or niche area that you’re interested in, and have yet to find a satisfying solution for - or a tough ethical debate in which you have a well-balanced yet critical stance. We want creative and thought-provoking essays, which attendees can read and have a chat about when passing by.
• Topics can be any area in Philosophy - Value Theory, Metaphysics, Language, Epistemology, etc.
• Rigor, clarity, and charitability are crucial as well.
• Only the best essays will be chosen, but fear should not be an obstacle.

Deadline for submissions is May 5th, 2359.

Choose something you would be proud to attach your name to, and see posted up on a wall. Selected Mini-Essays will be placed on a Wall of Papers during the event, for attendees to read and discuss.
